Being fashionable is very common among people in today's society. From children to adults, looking good and fabulous is very important. Both males and females spend time in dressing up as well as choosing the clothes that will them and enhance their looks. Among the clothes available in the market, the designer clothes are considered as one of the most popular among the consumers. However, not all people who want to purchase can buy these garments because these are more expensive compared to non-designer clothing.

Generally, the designer clothes are garments that hold and bear the logo of a well-known fashion designer in the clothing industry; however, not all designer clothes are created and hand-made by a particular designer instead these items only bear the logo because of a licensing agreement that allows manufacturer to use the brand name. Also, because of the brand, these pieces of clothes are sold in the market with a higher price compared to other clothes that do not have a branded or well-known logo.

People love designer fashion. This is because pieces of designer clothing are usually-but not always-better made than lower-tier clothing. Also, people are known to wear clothes to symbolize their status in the society-it is also for this reason why many people prefer designer clothing over lower-tiered ones. However, as branded clothes are often produced in smaller quantities, they can also be very expensive depending on the popularity of the designer. Today, designer clothing is a multi-billion dollar industry. Among the top players in this industry are Paris based haute couture designers Pierre Cardin, Coco Chanel, and Christian Dior.

Designer clothing has two general types. First is the ready-to-wear or RTW clothes. These clothes are those seen on shopping malls and are not made on custom size. Ready-to-wear clothes are created based on only one pattern and then it is resized for mass production. The second type is the haute couture. Unlike the RTW clothes, the haute couture clothes are manufactured in small scale and by selected couturiers. These are custom made and are created by professional seamstresses. Haute couture clothes are crafted exquisitely and these are not allowed to be mass-produced.

These designer clothes as aforementioned are garments that are expensive and not budget friendly for all. Consequently, other options are available for people who want to have designer clothing. In choosing clothes, it is very practical to purchase clothes that are multi-purpose such as dresses that can be used for formal gatherings but still perfect to be used on dinner dates or casual parties. Furthermore, designer clothes do not necessarily mean that they will make the wearer look fabulous. It is very important to choose clothes that you are comfortable with even if they do not bear a famous logo or brand.

Looking beautiful and fabulous can be attained with wearing designer clothes however, keep in mind that whether you are wearing branded garments or low-tiered clothing being beautiful and presentable cn be achieved by being confident with one's self and having a positive outlook in life.
